• Summary:The Center for Spiritual Living, Reno is part of the Centers for Spiritual Living/New Thought tradition (Science of Mind) and traces its roots to 1963, with the Lakeside Drive building dedicated in 1985, a Youth & Education Center added in 1995 and a sacred garden in 2004; it adopted its current name in 2010. Its campus-centered community life includes youth and family programs (preschool through teens, using a Virtue curriculum and sending teens to regional and national CSL camps), regular community groups such as Women’s Spirit, a monthly poetry circle, a monthly “Let’s Talk About Death” discussion, Tai Chi classes, and certificated Science of Mind classes — new members are welcomed through CSL101 offered each spring and fall. Practical amenities include an on-site bookstore, Sacred Path Books & Gifts (Mon–Thu 9:00–3:00; Sundays 10:30–12:30) that stocks New Thought, meditation and children’s spirituality titles and can order items, office hours Monday–Thursday 9:00–3:00 with 24-hour voicemail, and livestreamed services (streamingchurch.tv, church6079) with an archived media vault.
