• Summary:Founded in 1780, Georgetown Presbyterian Church claims one of Washington, D.C.’s oldest unbroken ministries, holding a congressional charter signed by Thomas Jefferson and even serving as a hospital for both Union and Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. Music is a hallmark of parish life — the sanctuary houses a 31-rank Aeolian-Skinner organ, an adult choir (including many college students) sings most Sundays, and Music Director Mark Willey hosts a church podcast.
